On-Page-SEO



SEO consists two types of techniques On page and Off page. Now will see what is On page and Off page techniques, which is helpful for us or not. Let's go,


On Page: 

In this technique we do optimizing web pages to improve ranking in search engines and get organic traffic, which is very important for SEO regarding. On page SEO includes optimizing your HTML tags, Headers, Contents, Images, Internal Links and many more. 

Using this techniques making your website more relevant, high level of expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness. When you added more new things or update regularly then it will improve website's visibility in search engines SERP's (Search Engine Result Pages) and search results.

On page SEO is important because it helps search engines to know your website as well as identify whether it is relevant to a searcher’s query.

On Page Factors:-

1) Title Tag:
The title tag is important for SEO, it is heading of each web pages. Title tag indicates the main purpose of web pages and what the topical subject matter of each web pages.

In Google there is a limit of title tag only 57-60 characters so it is good to write below 60 characters. One more thing Google limits in SERP titles by pixel width, not by character count. 

The title tag has little impact on organic rankings but you use keywords in title it impacts more. If you write poor, duplicate, missing and irrelevant title tag it will negatively impact your SEO.

2) Meta Description:

Meta Description has been an important part of SEO optimization point.

Meat description define about your web pages are show in underneath of title tag. It shows the brief summary of webpage.

In Google the limit of meta description is 157-160 characters. If you use keywords in meta description it more effect on organic search results.

3) URL (Uniform Resource Locator):

URL also known as "web address", it specifies the location of webpages or resource on the internet. URL must be SEO friendly to know users and search engines.

                     and not

4) Keywords:

The goal of SEO is to rank in search engine results for the words and a short phrases for your future customer or user searching. 

SEO keywords (also known as “keywords” or “keyphrases”) are terms added to online content in order to improve search engine rankings for those terms. Most keywords are discovered during the keyword research  process and are chosen based on a combination of search volume, competition and commercial intent.

Why we use Keyword?
Google announced keyword not a ranking factor, so it is not matter use keyword in website but me say that if you use keyword in websites that much better for you because google does not consider keywords but we use them in description, title and mainly in content. 

Types of Keyword:

1) Short Tail Keyword
2) Long Tail Keyword

4.1) Short Tail Keyword:

It contains only One or Three word keywords. For example, "SEO", "Search Engine Optimization", "Trainers" and more. Using short tail keyword they bring a lot of traffic and beneficial in several ways to your site, the competition is high compare to long tail keywords. 
  • High Search Volume
  • High Competition
  • Low intent to purchase
  • Low conversion rate
  • High cost-per-clicks

4.2) Long Tail Keyword:

More than 70% of internet searches are made up of long tail keywords. Long tail keywords  are search phrases containing more than 3 words.

For example, "Best SEO Services in India", "Sports Shoes of Adidas". 
  • Low competition
  • High intent to purchase
  • High conversion rate
  • Low search volume

5) Page Content:
The king of the webpages or website is Content, if you write a content is proper, relevant and easy language to understand by user or search engines then it will more effect on your organic search results. 

Creating content that helps you to rank high in search engines and it should be good quality content, unique not be duplicate. There are major elements to rank website: keyword strategy, site structure and more.

Keyword strategy is mainly use in content that helps to rank website. If you write a content add keywords which is really good for you but not add more it should be known keyword stuffing. Google read this content with more keywords it give penalty or block your website, so use relevant keywords in content.


6) Internal Links: 

Linking is the most important factor for SEO. Internal Links are hyperlink means from one page to another page in same domain or website is also known as Inbound Links.

Internal links help search engines to crawl and index your internal linking pages. It is a technique that you can use to link more pages for search engines.


To reduce your website bounce rate this technique you can use and increase user sessions.

Do not use more than 15 backlinks on your websites and mainly use in content or body part which is more helpful to you.

7) External Links:

Linking is the most important factor for SEO. External Links are hyperlink means from one domain to another domain, is also known as Outbound Links.

If you think external links and back links both are same but you are wrong because, Back links are those links which user comes through other domain to your website and external links are those links which are pointing to other site from your site.

Means A is your site and B, C are other sites if the user comes through B and C your site those links are Backlinks. Similarly if site A have links which are pointing to B and C then those links will be counted as external link for site A.

Use only 2-4 External Links per 1000 words and always use high Domain Authority and 
Page Authority websites to make a backlinks.

By linking to other high-quality related websites, you increase the traffic and trustworthiness of your website or content and this is good for SEO.

8) Page Load Speed:

Page load Speed is important factor for ranking website.

Nowadays people not wait more time to visit a site more than a seconds. So make sure that your site loads within 4-7 seconds, because if website take more time to load the user will not revisit the sites.

As a webmaster, your job is to make sure that your website loads as fast as possible by taking into account Google’s recommendations. Fast loading website is not only enough for SEO, website must me conversion, interactive and understandable for user or customer.

9) Mobile Friendly:

Now hole world are using smart phones and a survey suggest that 62% of searches in Google are coming from smart phones or mobile phones.

Google have a mobile friendly algorithm - on April 25, 2015. 

Mobile Friendly means you need to have a responsive websites, if your website not mobile friendly then it will impact on ranking because mostly user search in mobile phones. 

Check your website with the Mobile Friendly Test and fix problems.


10) Heading Tags:

  • H1 Tag is a heading tag, you can use only one h1 tag in a web page. H1 tag represent the page of heading.
  • H2 Tag represent the sub heading of h1, you can use multiple h2 tag.
  • H3 Tag represent the sub heading of h2, you can use multiple h3 tag and same as H4, H5, H6.
  • Use interesting headings for better user interaction and engagement. 

11) Image Optimization:

Images are very important for sites and blogs because images are interesting and easily understand by the user or customers.

If you’re using images on your pages, be sure that they are relevant to the topic are attractive, and are using relevant alt text and caption

If you use images on your site first you will be optimize your images using Free Image Optimizer. Optimize images load faster and improve your sites as well.

Use alt attribute to show a description of images. When user click your site, if any problem then images not load properly so user will see the image description and it is easy for search engines to crawl and index sites.

Use proper image names which is helpful for your sites.


12) XML Sitemap:

In simple words, an XML sitemap is a list of your website’s URLs.

XML sitemap is important for seo, when Google comes to crawl a website some pages are end up without any internal links and making them hard to find. So using this XML Sitemap it is very easy to crawl by Google or search engines. 

XML sitemaps are just a text files with different tags that tags represent or identify of data. The XML sitemap is root of a domain which is in your website at coding side.

 A single XML sitemap is limited to 50,000 URLs, so if your website has more than 50,000 posts, for example, you’ll need two separate ones for the post URLs, effectively adding a second index sitemap

13) Anchor Text:

Anchor text is clickable text which is used to link one web page to another page. Always keep anchor text relevant and make sure that your anchor text don't link in a high spammy sites or irrelevant sites. Instead of wasting time make a link on relevant and low spammy site, which is very beneficial for your sites. 


The exact match anchor text should be minimized to 1% or less. You take more careful when using this type of anchor text because the penguin algorithm penalize your site. So it is better to used naked link anchors and branded anchors both are safe. Mainly focus on building organically using high quality content, this will help you to optimize your link and impossible for google to penalize your site.

Types of Anchor Text,

Exact Match


Anchor Text is "exact match" it includes exact keywords to target a text. For Example,
"SEO Services" linking to a page about SEO Services.

Partial Match

Anchor text contain some keyword phrases or some variation. For Example,
"Best SEO Services and Techniques"  linking to a page about SEO Services.

Branded

Use a brand name in anchor text. For Example, "mynewseotechniques" linking to a SEO blog.

Naked Link

A URL that is used as an anchor "www.mynewseotechniques.blogspot.com" is a naked link anchor.

Generic

Generic means a word or phrase that used as an anchor. For Example, "Click Here", "this site".

When we use a image as a link, Google will use the text in the image's as alt attributes as the anchor text.
